Digital Remittance services such as Ethio Direct, Fast Pay, and Cashgo are available to all Ethiopians and those of Ethiopian origin with access to digital platforms. They offer free or low-cost transfers, real-time transactions, and a secure, reliable service.
Cash Exchange service
The Cash Exchange service is available to individuals or institutions exchanging amounts below USD 3,000 (or equivalent) and those submitting a customs declaration. It provides better access through branches and ATMs, along with flexible FX and bureau rates.
Major Remittance Service
Major Remittance services like Western Union, MoneyGram, Transfast, World Remit, Dhabshil, Cash Express, and Thunes are accessible to all Ethiopians and those of Ethiopian origin with access to digital platforms. They ensure secure, reliable, and convenient money transfer services.
Digital Banking
Digital Banking services, including card banking, mobile banking, CBE Birr mobile money, and micro saving and lending (MSL), are available to all Ethiopians with an FCY transfer history through CBE.
